Forgetting my needs and burn out

For several years, I was really focused on my daughter, making sure her needs were met and always worrying if I was doing enough. In that process, I forgot my own needs and it felt like I was spending my days playing pretend and never taking time for myself and I was burnt out by the time she was 5.

We were also travelling a lot and I had moments where I felt really lonely in my struggles, wondering if the issue was me and turning to online communities was life changing.
I realised that my daughter was neurodivergent and that her needs were very different from neurotypical children and it had nothing to do with me.

Why Creativity Blossoms?

In the last couple of years, I’ve started nurturing my creativity with different creative hobbies, the main one being watercolor painting and I fell in love with it. I also started taking more time for me to unwind, relax and rest thanks to Menstrual Cycle Awareness.

All of theses small changes have had a positive impact on my mental wellness and life in general.

Embracing the paths of unschooling, deschooling, and healing our past traumas is a life long journey. While I deeply value these, I’ve come to recognize that it’s essential for us to prioritize our self-care and nurture our needs along the way.

I know I am not the only unschooling mom who lost herself in her child’s needs and self improvement. So I really wanted to create something meaningful and different for unschooling moms: a community where you can experience connection, creativity and relaxation all in the comfort of your home.

That is my mission for Creativity Blossoms.

I hope you will join me!
